The Amazing
   Mr. J ON

Can YOU IMAGINE being in the same band, with the EXACT same line-up of three super cool dudes, since 1969? (Sadly, we lost one of 'em today, Magic Friends). RIP to beloved bearded bassist, Dusty Hill, of the legendary ZZ TOP. (You can see DUSTY on the left, in these pictures). Along with lead singer Billy Gibbons and drummer Frank Beard, Dusty toured relentlessly. As you know, ZZ TOP have always been as hard-working as their music was good hard rockin'. The absolute furthest thing from a 'nostalgia act', they have been CONSISTENTLY amazing for over 50 years. Incredible! Their Magical mix of Texas Blues, good time lyrics, and iconic beards (except, ironically, the beardless drummer Frank Beard) made them stalwarts of the stage. Honoured to be able to thank them in person, with some Magic and balloons (videos attached for you). Always important in life to tell people you love 'em, while you can! If you're a fellow fan, (ZZ Top are longtime very personal faves) let's you and I raise a glass tonight for The Dust. (1949-2021) A hearty cheers, to our bearded blues brother!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsxS7MquxKI www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IzqklkMAEs#zztop #dustyhill #texas #blues #davidjolly #amazingmisterj #magic #balloons #doubleback #lagrange #sharpdressedman ... Are YOU a fan of Charlie Brown and Snoopy? We lost a legend, Friends. Jazz great JERRY GRANELLI (from HALIFAX!) was the last surviving member of the legendary Vince Guaraldi Trio, and in recent years, he's regularly performed his iconic 1965 'Charlie Brown Christmas' soundtrack live, with live children's choirs. Interestingly, he refused to revisit this music for many years (for which he was only paid $120 in the 1960s), as he felt hurt and upset about the record company snubbing him for any credit/royalties on it. However, when he realized how his Christmas music was so deeply beloved by so many worldwide, he turned the page and decided to play it live every year in December. (There's a lot to be said here for reconciling one's past, letting go of hurt, and moving on). Oh, the joy he created with these December shows! Hope you personally got to catch one...his shows were always a Magical experience. Naturally, you'll still hear his Magical Music every Christmas, forever. THANK YOU to a wonderful, immensely talented, kind-hearted Spirit. ❤ (RIP Jerry Granelli- 1940-2021) #jerrygranelli #charliebrownchristmas #snoopy #charliebrown #Linus #lucy #peanuts #jazz #vinceguaraldi #vinceguaralditrio #charlesschulz #thankyou ...
